Lake Sinclair Fishing Report May 2012

GON Staff | April 26, 2012

Sinclair: Level: 0.5 feet below full pool. Temp: 70-74 degrees. Clarity: Light stain.

Bass:
Fair. Aaron Batson reports, “Fishing has been a bit tougher. Most bass are in the postspawn blues—slow and sluggish while they recover. The good news is there is great fishing ahead. These fish will be active at daylight on the remaining shad spawn and the mayfly hatches. Start on main-lake seawalls for early morning fish. Try an Ol’Nelle buzzbait or Rebel Pop-R tight on the seawalls for some quick action in the mornings. Later in the day, work your way out to deeper water. They will hold in 6 to 12 of water most of the month. They can be caught on soft plastics like a Texas-rigged lizard.”
