Lake Sinclair Fishing Report – December 2021

GON Staff | November 25, 2021

Sinclair: Level: 1.6 feet low. Temp: Mid 50s to 61 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Karl Pingry reports, “Bass fishing is great at Lake Sinclair. It’s taking between 18 and 21 pounds to win the tournaments right now. The lake has really cleared up. Ed at Lakeside Chevron says Shad Raps and Berkley crankbaits in chartreuse and white, along with spinnerbaits are the hot baits right now. There’s also a jig bite flipping the docks. A shaky head in junebug red is a good backup bait. There is still a frog bite fishing the edges of the hydrilla. Most of the bait is still in the backs to the pockets, but expect the  bait to slowly move out toward the main lake later in the month. As the water cools, the frog bite is going to end, but Ed says to really concentrate on fishing the edges of the hydrilla with plastics, jerkbaits, ChatterBaits and spinnerbaits for the month of December.”
