Lake Jackson Fishing Report – October 2010

GON Staff | September 29, 2010

Jackson: Level: 1.7 feet low and rising. Temp: 82 degrees. Clarity: Stained.

Bass: Aaron Batson said October is a time he thinks about big spotted bass down the lake. He’ll focus from Tussahaw to the dam on main-lake, rocky points in 10 to 15 feet of water. Early in the morning, a Sammy or Spook works. Later in the day go to a Fish Head Spin or a Trick Worm on a Carolina rig or shaky head. For largemouths, look for them to move into the pockets and creeks. Use search baits like Rat-L-Traps and spinnerbaits. Plastics on shallow wood will be good.
