Lake Jackson Fishing Report – May 2019

GON Staff | April 30, 2019

Jackson: Level: Full. Temp: 69-73 degrees. Clarity: From clear to stained.

Bass: Tournament angler Brian Lee reports, “The spawn is winding down, with a few bass still spawning. Secondary and primary points will have feeding bass on them as they feed up before moving on to their summer hideaways. Topwater early morning will be the ticket, but be prepared to cover water. As the day goes on, look for points and brushpiles to have active fish. The dog days of summer are just around the corner, so get ready for some offshore techniques. A C-rig is a great way to catch fish all throughout the day. These days are the toughest as the bite slows down tremendously. Look for June to be the same, just more off an offshore bite.”
