Lake Jackson Fishing Report June 2012

GON Staff | May 31, 2012

Jackson: Level: 4.2 feet below full pool. Temp: Low 80s. Clarity: Light stain.

Bass: Eric Perkins reports, “Jackson has been fishing very well, and I expect it to be even better when they fill it back up. I would look for a lot of fish to get in and around the new grass and saplings that have grown in the deeper pockets. I expect the early morning topwater bite to stay hot all month. Rico’s Zell Pops, Sammys and Spooks are all great baits. I think the buzzbait bite will be hot as well. After the sun gets up, I would either skip a Net Boy Baits Flipp’N Jig under shady docks or run deep brush or points with a Wackem Crazy Baits Big Sissy or Trick Stick on a shaky head. June is also a great month to crank a Normans DD22 on deep brush, humps and long points. I like to throw the big plug at night time or right at dark.”
