Lake Jackson Fishing Report January 2015

GON Staff | December 23, 2014

Jackson: Level: 0.7 feet low. Temp: 50-53 degrees. Clarity: Clear to lightly stained.

Bass:
Fair. Tournament fisherman Aaron Batson reports, “Look for big spots down the lake. They are eating jerkbaits and Fish Head Spins. Look for them suspended in 15 to 20 feet of water out over points and timber in 30 to 35 feet of water. They like a very slow-moving bait. We are seeing some good 3- to 4-lb. spots doing this. Also, look for some good shallow bites on docks in 3 to 8 feet of water. Floating docks are best, and they are biting the 3/8-oz. Net Boy Baits jigs in greens colors.”
