Lake Jackson Fishing Report January 2014

GON Staff | December 30, 2013

Jackson: Level: Full pool. Temp: 48-50 degrees. Clarity: Mostly clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Aaron Batson reports, “Bass fishing is good, but fish are scattered at many depths. Some fish are shallow and can be caught on 3/8-oz. Net Boy Baits jigs around shallow rocks and docks. Good colors are all black or all brown. More numbers are found deeper in 15 to 20 feet and are being caught on Carolina-rigged watermelon-colored worms, 3/4-oz. Net Boy Baits football jigs or jerkbaits. Look for rock with any brush on it for the deep bite.”
