Lake Jackson Fishing Report – February 2024

GON Staff | January 31, 2024

Jackson: Level: 1.3 feet above 528. Temp: Mid 40s. Clarity: Muddy.

Bass: Tournament angler Willie McMullen said rocks are the key in February. Bump them with a Shad Rap or other small crankbait. Stained water is good, but muddy water makes it tough. Tussahaw Creek usually clears up before the main river, so check it out. If the water starts warming and gets into the low 50s, a spinnerbait will catch fish. Fish a double Colorado bladed bait in blowdowns, running it slowly over the limbs.
