Lake Chatuge Fishing Report September 2011

GON Staff | August 31, 2011

Chatuge: Level: 3.2 feet below full pool. Temp: 83 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Good. Eric Welch, of Reel Job Fishing, reports, “First thing in the morning, throw a Sammy and a Zara Spook on long points and across flats. Watch your electronics for suspending fish. There are a lot baitfish 12 to 25 feet deep, and the spots are right behind them. I’m dropping down on these fish with a drop shot, rigged with a 4 1/2-inch Roboworm in morning dawn. Deep docks and steep banks with brush are producing fish on a Texas rig in redbug and a shaky head with a junebug Trick Worm. If there is wind, try a Strike King Series 5 sexy-shad crankbait on points.”
