Lake Chatuge Fishing Report – November 2023

GON Staff | October 25, 2023

Chatuge: Level: 5.2 feet below 1925. Temp: 71-72 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Guide Eric Welch, of Welch’s Guide Service, reports, “Fishing has been good. I will start my mornings out on the main body throwing topwater. Once the sun gets up, the bass have started blowing up on herring baitfish. On sunny days, I like throwing chrome in a Berkley 110 Cane Walker, Ima Skimmer and a Whopper Plopper. Make sure to keep a couple topwater on the deck all day because they will blow up at any time. By mid-morning, I will start fishing banks and points along with offshore structure. Using my Garmin Livescope to locate fish, I will then use a drop-shot rig, shaky head and a Texas-rigged Senko. The colder the water gets, the better the fishing is going to get. Good luck.”
