Lake Chatuge Fishing Report November 2017

GON Staff | October 27, 2017

Chatuge: Level: 5.5 feet below full pool. Temp: 68-71 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Guide Eric Welch reports, “The bass are starting to feed. We’ve been finding some breaking fish in the mornings and also during midday. The water temp has been dropping, which gets these spotted bass to moving. I’m still throwing a Sexy Dawg, Whopper Plopper and a Pop-R. You just have to ride around a little to find them breaking. Some days they’re around the flats, and the next day you find them back in the pockets off the main lake. The best way to catch them right now is to watch your electronics and find pods of bait and fish. I’m then dropping a drop shot with a 6-inch Roboworm on them. This is also working on long points and steep banks. You can also pick some up on a Texas rig and a shaky head around docks. It’s only going to get better as the water temp keeps dropping.”
