Lake Chatuge Fishing Report – November 2007

GON Staff | October 24, 2007

Chatuge: Level: 12.4 feet below full pool. Temp: Low 70s. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: The fish are scattered and hard to find. When the water temperature drops into the 60s the fish should bunch up more on main-lake points, and a Pointer 100 jerkbait or a No. 7 Shad Rap will catch fish. Topwater has been sporadic, but it should also improve with cooler temperatures. A downsized topwater like a Tiny Torpedo has been working better than a full-sized Zara Spook. The fall-back pattern, as usual, is either a drop-shot rig or a Texas-rigged Zoom Finesse worm in brushpiles.
