Lake Chatuge Fishing Report – May 2010

GON Staff | April 27, 2010

Chatuge: Level: 0.4 feet below full pool. Temp: 65 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Good. Eric Welch with Reel Job Fishing reports, “Most of the good spotted bass are coming off bed. You can catch a lot of the buck bass on spinnerbaits, Shad Raps and drop shots. Wind-blown points and any brush will get you fish. The largemouths are either on beds or have just came off beds in almost every pocket of the lake. This month when the spawn is over, the fluke, Sammy and Spook bite should start happening in the mornings. Then switch over to a drop shot or Texas rig and head for brush.”
