Lake Chatuge Fishing Report July 2013

GON Staff | June 26, 2013

Chatuge: Level: 0.7 feet above full pool. Temp: 78 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Good. Eric Welch, of Reel Job Fishing, reports, “There is a small window of topwater happening in the morning, so keep a fluke or a Sammy ready for breaking fish. I’ve been catching fish on shaky heads and drop shots over brush and rocky points. The fish are scattered with all the rain and high water we’ve been having. This month the fish should start going for the deep banks and rocky points. Also, on Aug. 1-3, Bass Masters College National Championship is being held on Lake Chatuge. Everybody who’s got kids who like to fish bring them out to support these guys and gals. You never know, your child may be fishing for one of these colleges one day.”
