Lake Chatuge Fishing Report January 2011

GON Staff | January 3, 2011

Chatuge: Level: 6.4 feet below full pool. Temp: Low 40s. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Fair. Charlie Baldwin said you won’t have any 30-fish days, but there is a decent deep bite in 20 to 30 feet of water doodling over brush. A jigging spoon or shaky head will do equally well for this bite. On a pretty day, when sun warms the water in the afternoon, a crankbait fished around rocky points where the water is just a little warmer may catch some fish.
