Lake Chatuge Fishing Report – December 2019

GON Staff | November 22, 2019

Chatuge: Level: 5.5 feet low. Temp: 60-61 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Guide Eric Welch reports, “There has been some topwater action throughout the day. I’m throwing a Strike King Sexy Dawg Jr. and a Whopper Plopper. I am also working a 3/16-oz. Fish Head Spin and a 3.5-inch Strike King Rage Swimmer on a 1/8-oz. swimbait head. Drop shot a 4.5-inch Roboworm in red crawler on deep long points around docks and deep banks, along with a shaky head with a green-pumpkin finesse worm. If you mark fish on points, try a 1/2-oz. white- or chrome-colored spoon. Jerkbaits work good this time of year. Try Lucky Craft 65 or 75 pointers in new ayu. On a sunny day, try an A-rig around docks, points and flats. The fishing should get better this month as the water keeps cooling down.”
