Lake Chatuge Fishing Report August 2011

GON Staff | July 28, 2011

Chatuge: Level: 0.4 feet below full pool. Temp: 83 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Good. Eric Welch, of Reel Job Fishing, reports, “The fish are deep. We’ve been catching fish around deep docks in 18- to 30-feet of water drop-shotting a 4 1/2-inch Roboworm in morning dawn. Also, a Texas-rigged Zoom Finesse Worm in watermelon seed or a shaky head with a Zoom watermelon-seed Trick Worm on deep points and laydowns. I’ve been catching some fish on a Zoom Fluke in white over laydowns. If the wind is blowing, try a spinnerbait or crankbait. There have been some fish breaking in the mornings, so keep a Sammy 100 handy.”
