Quick Bird, Even Quicker Camera: Craig and Melanie Walker, GON members from Riddleville, were impressed with the speed of their Bushnell camera to capture this Washington County hawk in mid flight. The picture was taken on Aug. 24 at 11:33 a.m.

 

Reach Counts In A Boxing Match: When two does need to settle a dispute, the one that can stand up taller and straighter has an advantage. Trod Redner, a GON member from Eatonton, sent this neat picture.

 

Fawn-Killer Coyote In Crawford County: Still wondering why fawn and turkey recruitment rates have crashed over the past couple of decades? Billy Martin, of Newnan, got this trail-cam picture in Crawford County at 8:18 a.m. last summer on June 8. “This is why we need to thin them out, ” Billy said.

 

“Is This Lid Screw-On, Child-Proof, Or What?” Robert Williamson, of Swainsboro, got this picture Sept. 20 at 6:10 a.m. on one of his game cameras. “I have seen many raccoons, turkey and deer at this location; however, the persistence of this one is very surprising. I guess it couldn’t wait for the feeder to go off,” Robert said.
