Putnam County Fawn Killer:  “Why we need the Coyote Cull…” That’s how this photo was captioned by the hunter who got the image on a Putnam County food plot on May 25. That hunter is Chris Sagar, who runs the Youth Big-Buck Contest Shoot-Out and Georgia 4-H BB gun competitions.

Got Him! Justin Braden (pictured below), of McDonough, shot this big Henry County buck on Oct. 16 after first laying eyes on him out of bow range on opening day of archery season. The buck showed up on trail camera only once on Sept. 18.

Prelim To The Main Event: Phil McCall captured a series of photos on his backyard trail cam of these two young velvet bucks squaring off on Aug. 10 last year in Cherokee County.

Sweet Potatoes? Who Knew? Well, we know sweet potatoes are tasty, and that they are nutritious and good for you. But who knew that every critter that walks the woods has a taste for sweet potatoes? Tommy Kennedy figured that out on his Tattnall County property when he started getting cull sweet potatoes from a farmer. “I borrow my brother’s dump truck to haul them to my food plots,” Tommy said. Above is just a sample of the pictures and the variety of animals he’s gotten on his trail cameras.
