Trail-Cam Trophy: Ed Sims, of Locust Grove, got this photo 200 yards behind his Henry County house early last March. “After seeing this pic, I decided not to harvest any turkeys — this pic is my trophy. I put an 11×14 pic on my wall this year.”
The Coyote and the Chicken Hawk — Showdown at the Henhouse: “At first I thought he had another one of my chickens, but this coyote did me a favor,” said G.L. Parker, of Paulding County. “Look closely at the beak. It’s a hawk.”
Old Beagle Still Wanting To Go: Tyler Martin, of Jesup, said, “The picture I have attached is of our 15-year-old beagle, who is not nearly as viable a rabbit dog as he was in the past, stumbling across a doe and yearling while hunting on his own. The picture was taken in Wayne County on Dec. 21 at 7:19 p.m.”
A Long Fight Sequence: Jimmy Joiner, of Marietta, sent a series of photos he got over a Johnson County scrape. It starts with one buck at the scrape, then another buck shows up. “The two bucks fighting are 9-pointers. I have let the wider 9-pointer walk about five times. I am not sure if it is a serious fight or friendly sparring,” Jimmy said.
