Are Coyotes Getting Bigger, Or What? Stephen Crain sent this trail-cam picture and asked, “Mr. Alpha Male, or is this a wolf?” This big coyote was caught on trail-cam strolling down a Dooly County woods road at 3:55 p.m. on Feb. 12.

Posing Twins: With the long, dark noses and matching eye rings, this doe and young buck look like they could be twins. GON subscriber Mac Crulee, of Temple, got this trail-cam picture on Aug. 22 in Carroll County. “I wish he had a big set of horns on him… in time,” said Mac.

Gobbler’s Real-Life Version Of ‘The Birds’ Horror Movie: “Now people can get an idea of why turkeys hate crows so bad,” said Cody Quick, a GON subscriber from Hamilton. Cody put a trail camera on a freshly planted chufa plot in Harris County and got this picture of crows dive-bombing a gobbler as the turkey makes a run for it.

Tagging Along With The Turkeys: There’s a strange bird hanging out with a flock of turkeys in Johnson County. GON subscriber John Norris, of Wrightsville, got this trail-cam picture on Feb. 1. “We got several shots, which suggest it’s a young peacock,” John said. No word on where or how a peacock hooked up with the flock of turkeys.

KO At The Deer Feeder: “It looks like this buck just knocked another deer to the ground at my feeder,” said Allen Rutledge, of Jersey. Allen’s trail-cam captured the knock-out kick last summer on July 15.
