Strike Force: Cody Blades submitted this awesome photo he got on Oct. 11, and he spoke very highly of our new Youth Big-Buck Contest sponsor. “This photo was taken in Wayne County by my Browning Strike Force trail camera,” Cody said. “It’s proven to be one of my better cameras that I’ve ever purchased.” GON is giving away 17 Browning Strike Force cameras to the weekly winners in the Youth Big-Buck contest (see page 92). “I have the photos of it hitting the squirrel initially, but you can’t see much since he is on top of him,” Cody added.
An Uneasy Peace At The Supper Table: Kind of like Thanksgiving at the in-laws? This buck wasn’t leaving the corn, but it was keeping an eye on the coyote that showed up. “I have many trail-cam pics every year from my five cameras,” said Kenneth Kicklighter, a GON subscriber from Glennville. “Of all the pics I’ve gotten over the last five years or so, I have never seen a deer and a coyote feed on corn at the same time. Makes you wonder what’s going on?”
Fawn Day At The Watering Hole: We’re guessing all four of these fawns don’t belong to the one doe in this picture, or she would look a lot more haggard. Gordon McFarland, of Eatonton, got this picture Aug. 2 in Putnam County.
Got Hops? This Lumpkin County bear was a few inches of vertical leap away from taking down this feeder. GON subscriber Robert Haas, of Dahlonega, got this photo on Aug. 17. “He was on camera for four days until he finally destroyed the feeder,” Robert said.
Summer Dreams: To take your mind off the cold and gray days of January, how about a summer scene? Seeing mid-summer does and fawns seems like a lifetime ago right now. This trail-cam picture was taken June 27 on the Worth County farm of Mike Miller, of Cocoa, Fla.
