Blondes Have More Fun: Dusty Evans, of Douglasville, said he’s gotten thousands of trail-cam pics at his Pike County club, but nothing like this. “This buck definitely had me a little confused,” Dusty said. “Maybe he’s ready for Halloween, or he’s gotta be the smartest buck I’ve ever seen trying to disguise himself… or he just simply wanted to feel the same way I do every time walking to my stand fighting off all those darn spider webs!”
Look Ladies! GON subscriber David Mann, of Marietta, got this picture at his property in Gilmer County of a gobbler strutting his stuff for the hens.
Bring On The Lonely Hens: Bob Simpson sent this trial-camera picture that was taken just before the 2017 turkey season. He said these Troup County gobblers were still looking lonesome on Feb. 25 when the picture was taken, and Bob was ready for the hunting season to get started.
“Aim For The Head, My Guide Said…” No, this isn’t photoshopped… this gobbler doesn’t have a head! OK, so he has a head, but this well-timed trail-cam pic made the gobbler appear headless as he picked at his feathers on the opposite side of his body. Jeffrey Schultz sent the picture.
