Hunter Bridges, 10, shot a gobbler in Hancock County that had 1 1/2-inch spurs. This young man may be ruined after rolling such a trophy bird.

A bubblegum-colored Trick Worm fooled this Pickens County farm pond bass. The angler, Jasper Henson, was celebrating his eighth birthday on April 23 when he caught the 8-pounder.

GON subscriber Jason Breeding, of Senoia, sent in this picture of his daughter’s first deer. Julianna Rose Breeding was 11 years old when she shot this Coweta County buck on Nov. 17.

Madelyn Rolader, 13, pictured with her dad Terry, caught this 26.3-lb. flathead on Lake Sinclair.

Patrick Reese, 14, of Roswell, enjoyed an epic hunt on March 16 with his father and guide Paul Brown. Four gobblers were henned up in a field 300 yards away, but the expert calling kept the birds interested. Finally after over an hour, the birds sprinted toward the decoys and began attacking them. Patrick calmed his nerves while he waited for the birds to move far enough away to avoid shooting the decoys. Then he proved his marksmanship skill with an excellent shot on a 20-pounder to harvest his first turkey.

Riley Howard, 13, of Rutledge, took advantage of the youth season and killed this Walton County tom.
