I carried Gavin out shooting to practice, which he absolutely loved. He went with me to scout before the season, to plow and plant food plots, hang stands, clear roads, etc. Gavin harvested a mature doe on his first outing with me. He made a perfect shot and a quick recovery. We ate some of her just the other night, and he loved it.

Why Is Mentoring Important To You?

Mentoring to me is something I never had as a child. I had to learn a lot on my own and figure things out for myself. It made me the hunter and person I am today. I wouldn’t change a thing about how I grew up in the outdoors. My goal is to take and show the things I’ve learned along the way to my kids, friends and family, so they’d to can enjoy the outdoors.
