Jackson Tatum Wins GON’s 2019 Youth Shoot-Out
Adventure Outdoors, Woods-N-Water, Realtree and Georgia 4-H are the reasons GON can host an awesome youth deer contest in Georgia.
Jackson Tatum, 16, of Ellenwood, collected a $3,000 shopping spree after winning GON’s Youth Big-Buck Contest Shoot-Out on July 26 at GON’s Outdoor Blast. In addition, Jackson won a dream deer and hog hunting trip with Woods-N-Water outfitters in Wrightsville. Jackson and a parent get to hunt and stay at a remote lodge. They will be fed well, and they get to fish in a private pond.
At press time, Jackson hadn’t visited Adventure Outdoors yet. However, his mom emailed us to let us know that Jackson had a Benelli 20-gauge for dove hunting on the top of his list. Great choice, Jackson!
The 2019-20 GON Youth Big-Buck Contest starts on Saturday, Sept. 14. One youth 15 years of age or younger will be back at Adventure Outdoors next year to spend $3,000 as they get outfitted for a dream hunt at Woods-N-Water.
