Hunt Story

It was drizzling rain that morning, so I decided to sleep in and hunt the evening. When I got to the property, my dad had just checked one of our trail cameras and found that this particular buck was in front of one of our stands that morning. I have been after this very buck all season. The wind was not good for that stand so my dad and grandad suggested that I get in a stand close by. I was a little confused as to which stand that they were talking about and ended up getting into a different stand. It didn't seem to matter because an hour after I got settled in, I watched a doe come out of the woods 40 yards away into the pasture with the buck that I was after right behind her. I made the shot and the buck made it another 50 yards before piling up in the edge of the woods.
