Hunter: Peyton Cason
Points: 10 (5L, 5R)
On the afternoon of November 12th as I rode down Highway 11 I just got one of those feelings. As I put on my camouflage after arriving to the property that feeling grew stronger. After sitting in the box stand for around 2 hours and no deer seen, I began to lose hope. Then 3 does entered the food plot. I thought to myself at least this hunt wasn't a total loss. As the does seemed to become anxious and the sky grew darker I hoped that something would happen soon. Then the does bounced past me and I thought this is it. But nothing happened. After watching the does all the way around the stand I turned back around and saw him standing in the food plot. I took aim and shot him. While it may have not been the best-placed shot it was good enough to drop him. I called my dad and told him that I got him. He said to wait on him and we'd go get him together. After many fist bumps and some admiration we got him to the processor.
