I added a couple of days to opening weekend and this was my last hunt. An hour earlier I texted my son and told him let's take a doe if one comes in by herself. I hadn't seen a mature buck all weekend. I had 5 bucks come in at 8:20 AM, five minutes later I shot the biggest one. My deer didn't go forty yards before it dropped.
