Archery Opportunity For Kids In Coweta County

On Feb. 2, Providence Baptist Church in Newnan hosted an open archery event that was available to kids from the first grade all the way up to the 12th grade. The day of archery shooting was part of Centershot Ministries, an outreach program that allows for archery and Bible study.

“With equipment owned by the church, 20 children spent the day learning about archery and more importantly about Jesus,” said Matthew Fowler, who spearheads the archery effort at Providence. “With two groups shooting, a competition at the end of the day crowned six winners, a first, second and third from each group.”

Here are some of the 20 kids who learned archery at Providence Baptist Church in Newnan on Feb. 2. Their next archery event is April 27.
