Multiple Species: Guide Mark Collins reports, “Bass fishing is great, and a lot of good bass were caught this past weekend in the flats off the channel ledges and on points. They bit shallow-running crankbaits, jigs and jerkbaits. Crappie fishing is great, and they are being caught longline trolling with Jiffy Jigs in colors JJ01, JJ08, JJ13, JJ17 and Mark’s blue. Good areas have been in Little River, Little Spring Creek and the Chattooga River. Some fish are being caught in Yellow Creek and the Bay Springs area. Striper fishing is poor, and a few are being caught in the Coosa River near Riverside campground. Catfish are biting good in the flats on cutbait.”
