Lake Weiss Fishing Report June 2014

Weiss: Level: 0.1 feet below full pool. Temp: Mid 70s. Clarity: Clearing.

Crappie:
Guide Mike Collins reports, “Fishing is fair. A few fish are being caught long-line trolling with 1/24-oz. Jiffy Jigs in colors JJ01, JJ06, JJ13, JJ17 JJ20, JJ37 and Mark’s Special Blue. Shooting docks is producing a few crappie, also. Spider-rigging with live minnows is producing some fish on the creek channel ledges.”

Striper:
“Fishing is fair,” Mark said. “They are being caught in the upper Chattooga River and in the headwaters of the Coosa River above Mayo’s Lock and Dam.”

Catfish: “They are biting good in the deeper flats of the lake on cut bait,” Mark said.
