Lake Weiss Fishing Report February 2016

GON Staff | January 28, 2016

Weiss: Level: 5.8 feet below full pool. Temp: Upper 40s. Clarity: Muddy.

Bass: Guide Mark Collins reports, “Bass fishing is fair. The largemouth are not biting very good lately, but the spotted bass are still being caught in Little River and the Chattooga River areas of the lake. Try drop-shots and Alabama Rigs to catch spotted bass this month.”

Crappie: “The crappie fishing is good, and they are being caught long-line trolling with Jiffy jigs,” Mark said. “The best bites have been in Little river, Little Spring Creek, Tabs Cove and the cove at Riverside.”

Catfish: “Biting good in the flats on cut bait,” Mark said.
