Lake Weiss Fishing Report – April 2023

GON Staff | March 29, 2023

Weiss: Level: 2.1 feet below 564. Temp: 54-56 degrees. Clarity: Light stain to clear.

Multiple Species: Guide Mark Collins reports, “Bass fishing is good, and most have moved to the spawning bays on secondary points and roadbeds. Spinnerbaits and crankbaits are catching fish. The crappie fishing is fair, and they are showing up in the spawning bays and creeks. They can be caught longline trolling with Jiffy Jigs in colors JJ13, JJ17 and JJ20. Shooting docks with jigs is also producing some fish. Catfish are biting good in the bays and creeks in 8 to 15 feet of water. Cutbait is working best.”
