Lake Tobesofkee Fishing Report January 2015

GON Staff | December 23, 2014

Tobesofkee: Level: Full. Temp: 60-62 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass:
Tournament fisherman Clayton Batts reports, “Fishing has been good as they have finally moved into their winter patterns. Fish main-lake rock and docks that are close to deep water. Fish these areas with a 3/8-oz. black/blue Secret Lures jig with a green-pumpkin Big Bite Baits chunk. Another good option around the main-lake rock and rip-rap is a Spro Little John in citrus or nasty shad, depending on the water color. There are also some deep fish on a few of the points and humps. These fish can be caught on a variety of baits this time of year, when you find them grouped up. The best two baits right now have been a Secret Lures football jig in rootbeer and a drop shot with a 6-inch Big Bite Baits green-pumpkin Shaking Squirrel.”
