Lake Sinclair Fishing Report – July 2007

GON Staff | July 13, 2007

Sinclair: Level: Full pool. Temp: 82 degrees. Clarity: Stained.

Bass: Good. Tournament angler Kim Carver said, “A big mayfly hatch the last week in June has bass hitting topwater well. Pop-Rs and white buzzbaits are working good.” During the day, the bass are still under the docks. Kim suggested throwing a Texas-rigged worm around docks. Zoom Ol Monster worms in green pumpkin and junebug are working well. Kim said to fish the dock lights after dark on darker-colored finesse worms on a jig head. Shad Raps are also working well after dark near the lights. Most of the fish are in 5 to 8 feet of water near the docks. Anytime they’re moving water, the bass are biting a lot better.
