Lake Sinclair Fishing Report – August 2008

GON Staff | July 29, 2008

Sinclair: Level: Down 1.1 feet below full pool. Temp: 85-92 degrees. Clarity: Slight stain on main lake; stained up the creeks.

Bass:
Good. Mike Cleveland said there is a good deep-water bite going on right now, and that everything is happening out on the main lake. Look for mayfly hatches on main-lake bushes early and late, and try a Pop-R or a buzzbait. Color doesn’t matter. Once that bite ends, it’s time to head out onto the main-lake points in 12 to 15 feet of water for the big crankbait bite. Throw a Fat Free Shad in citrus shad or a DD22 in blue/chartreuse. “There are some flipping fish, but they ain’t nothing to write home about,” Mike said. Flip docks with a Texas-rigged Mag II in black/blue to pick up a few fish.
