Lake Seminole Fishing Report – September 2009

GON Staff | August 25, 2009

Seminole: Level: 1.3 feet below full pool. Temp: 86 degrees. Clarity: Clear to light stain.

Bass: Good around shallow lily pads and grass. Matt Baty reports, “The Chattahoochee and the main lake have been good. The best baits are frogs and flipping baits. There are two frogs that work extremely well. For fishing sparse vegetation, use a Big Bite Baits 3 1/2-inch Top Toad in white. Rig it with a 5/0 Gamakatsu Superline hook and braided line. For the thicker vegetation, use a Spro Bronzeye 65 floating frog in rainforest black or natural red. Flipping is also another good option for fishing the shallow cover. Use a Big Bite Baits 4-inch Fighting Frog in Vegas sunset color.”
