Lake Nottely Fishing Report – November 2020

GON Staff | October 30, 2020

Nottely: Level: 9 feet low. Temp: 67-71 degrees. Clarity: Water is clear over most of lake and stained in the backs of the creeks.

Stripers: Guide Jeremy Seabolt reports, “It has been a good October for our boats, as we have been on some nice fish. The lake has cooled down, and the fish have scattered out all over the lake. We have been catching most of our fish downlining herring. Fish have been holding over a 60-foot bottom and suspending 25 to 40 feet deep. We have seen some topwater fish, but it has not been consistent. It is always a good idea to have a topwater plug ready to throw at schooling fish. Going into November, the fish will start pulling up shallower, and it will be time to pull out the planer boards and freelines. We will start pulling bigger baits up in the creeks. The fish will be trying to put on a few pounds for winter. The Bait Shack on Nottely has all your striper candy.”
