Lake Burton Fishing Report October 2011

GON Staff | September 28, 2011

Burton: Level: Full pool. Temp: 73-74 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Good. Eric Welch, of Reel Job Fishing, reports, “The fish are running bait early in the morning. Keep a Zoom Fluke and a Sammy tied on for these fish. I have been catching fish on a shaky head with a Zoom, green-pumpkin Trick Worm. The fish have been 18 to 30 feet deep around brush or in the fronts of docks that have drops to the main channel. Also, you will see a lot of bait on your electronics, so keep a drop shot ready. I would also start throwing a jerkbait around docks and points.”
