Lake Blackshear Fishing Report – March 2006

GON Staff | March 1, 2006

Blackshear: Level: Full pool. Temp: 54 degrees. Clarity: The river is stained, the sloughs are clear.

Crappie: Slow, but should be breaking loose any day. Rusty Parker said his crappie-fishing friends had only been catching a few, but the size was good, and the fish were full of eggs. Fish were hitting Tripple-Ripple jigs 16-feet deep around the Smoak Bridge pilings in Swift Creek.
