Lake Blackshear Fishing Report June 2013

GON Staff | May 29, 2013

Blackshear: Level: 0.2 feet above full pool. Temp: Low 70s. Clarity: Stained.

Crappie:
Good. Guide Rusty Parker reports, “A week or so ago I said the spawn was over, and that you may have a few stragglers. Just yesterday (May 20) a friend caught 20 nice slabs around some trees in 6 feet of water, and they still were loaded with eggs. I have done great fishing docks that are close to deep water. They are hitting R.A.G. Fly bubblegum, which is chartreuse/pink/chartreuse and the black/pearl/chartreuse in size 1/16-oz.”

Bream:
Rusty said, “The big bluegill have started bedding. Use crickets, and you should find them around shallow water in sandy-bottom areas.”
