Lake Blackshear Fishing Report January 2013

Blackshear: Level: 3 feet below full pool. Temp: Low 50s. Clarity: Normal color.

Crappie: Rusty Parker said the crappie are biting in the channel and on channel edges around trashpiles. Rusty found his fish suspended 18-25 feet deep over 27 feet of water. Tightline minnows or cast 1/16-oz. Rag Fly jigs around the trash. Good jig colors have been all white and red/green/yellow. Rusty has caught his deep crappie around the 280 bridge and the railroad trestle.
