Lake Blackshear Fishing Report February 2011

GON Staff | January 25, 2011

Blackshear: Level: 0.2 feet below full pool. Temp: 48 degrees. Clarity: Stained.

Bass: Slow. Jim Murray Jr. reports, “With the cold weather, the bite has been slow. CBT finesse jigs and medium-diving crankbaits have been producing the few bites. As the weather warms, look for areas on a north bank where the sun is shining and fish slow. Any matted vegetation or grass will hold fish. After several days of sunshine and warm weather, hit the lake. Now is the time of year to catch that fish of a lifetime.”
