Lake Blackshear Fishing Report April 2016

GON Staff | March 30, 2016

Blackshear: Level: 0.1 feet below full pool. Temp: 63-70 degrees. Clarity: Slight stain.

Crappie: Rusty Parker reports, “It’s been raining a lot, and it’s not helping on the crappie biting. Even with the rain, I have had several reports of limits being caught. From these reports, most of the crappie are being caught by longline trolling with minnows a close second. Chartreuse/pink/chartreuse and black/watermelon/chartreuse Sorelip Slab Jigs are two of the hottest colors working right now. Collins Branch and Swift Creek are great areas to longline troll and fish minnows.”
