Lake Blackshear Fishing Report April 2015

GON Staff | March 25, 2015

Blackshear: Level: 0.1 feet below full pool. Temp: 65 on the lower end, and 69-70 degrees on the upper end. Clarity: Stained.

Crappie:
Rusty Parker reports, “The crappie have been doing great the past few days. I have been doing great on Sore Lip Crappie Jigs in chartreuse/pink/chartreuse and the black/chartreuse colors. I have had several people tell me that the long-line trollers are doing great, especially in Swift and Cedar creeks. A lot of reports of crappie being caught in 2 to 4 feet of water are coming in to me. These crappie are not finished spawning yet, but I do think this wave of the spawn won’t last long, so you best be out there. I have actually gotten some reports that the bluegill have started looking for places to bed, so get ready for the bream to move in on their beds very soon. May your catch be plentiful, and remember that Jesus loves you.”
