Lake Allatoona Fishing Report July 2014

GON Staff | June 26, 2014

Allatoona: Level: Full pool. Temp: 84 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Linesides: Excellent. Guide Robert Eidson reports, “Lineside fishing is great, and the topwater bite is off the charts. There are monster schools of hybrids and white bass busting topwater all over the lake right now. At times you can see good numbers of different schools busting topwater at the same time. These fish are feeding on very small shad. Our best bite this week has been on live bait fished on downlines as well as casting white Rooster Tails, Fluke JRs and Zara Spook JRs. Midday you can catch these fish pulling umbrella rigs and fishing live bait on downlines off of any main-lake point and hump from Iron Hill to Kellogg Creek. Fishing just doesn’t get much better then it is right now. Grab the kids, and hit the lake.”
