Inshore: Capt. David Newlin reports, “The trout bite has been hot the last couple of days, even with a 20-knot northeaster blowing,” David said. “We caught around 35 trout yesterday (June 1), along with redfish, black drum and bluefish. We released several big redfish up to 32 inches. Finding clear water was a challenge. Everywhere I found clear water, we caught fish. We caught everything yesterday on live shrimp under a slip-cork rig. Water temp was 74 degrees yesterday in Ossabaw Sound. The Georgia coast has a run of good tides starting next Wednesday (June 7).”
