Clarks Hill Fishing Report June 2015

GON Staff | May 28, 2015

Clarks Hill: Level: 0.4 feet below full pool. Temp: 80-82 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Linesides:
Guide William Sasser reports, “The hybrids and stripers are moving away from the shallows where they were chasing the spawning herring. The best bite is coming early in the mornings from around sunrise until about 8 a.m. and then again around sunset. As the hybrids and stripers move back into deeper water, they will be grouped up 35 to 45 feet deep off of the sides of humps, shoals and points and can be caught downlining live herring slightly off the bottom. The lower end of the lake will be the best area to fish, and these patterns will hold true for most of the summer until the dog days of summer. That’s when the fish will start diving deeper and will be hanging around the edges of the main channel.”
