Clarks Hill Fishing Report August 2013

GON Staff | July 31, 2013

Clarks Hill: Level: 0.5 feet above full pool. Temp: 81 degrees. Clarity: Light stain.

Bass:
Good. Tournament pro Jon Hair reports, “The bass are still deep. Look in the 18- to 25-foot range, and find isolated hydrilla. Fish it with a Greenfish Tackle Creeper Head with a Zoom Magnum Finesse worm and also a Texas-rigged Ol Monster worm. A 1/2-oz. Greenfish Tackle Big Rubber Jig in camo color is also producing around these isolated hydrilla patches. Color is not really specific—any form of green pumpkin is good. Early in the morning and late in the evening throw a buzzbait around stick grass on the bank.”
